I can't seem to find instructions on how to program the 2004 hyundai elantra keyfob. I found ones that have a "switch" but it looks to be more for santa fe models, same keyfob look but my elantra does not have a switch to learn, I heard it needs to be programmed. Is the IM608 able to do this?? If it can, I would like to know what procedure for it.

    Thanks
    Tom

Hello promaster, thank you for the reply!! It prompted me to further research. I found that there are 2 kinds of ETACS for this car, XD1 and XD2, the XD1 is metal and is for models 01-03 and XD2 is for 04-06. From what I read, the XD1 has a switch and is a metal case and the XD2 has no switch and is in a plastic case.

It is said that the XD1 with the switch is easy program but the XD2 is a dealer program. I am assuming the Autel IM608 can program this? I do have the KIA-10 PIN adapter that Autel finally provided me. It looks like I have the XD2, no switch.

In response to: "For the circuit board with missing switch, the circuit board cover has to be removed. There are six smaller solder points on the back of the module they are marked OFF and SET."

I opened the box and did not see any solder points with OFF and SET markings on it so I am at a dead end on that as well.

I will try to program using the Autel and 10 pin adapter when I get a chance.

Check for a small connector behind the drivers kick panel.
